It's that time of year when we come together to read the same book.
Pick up your copy today.
This is that time of year when everyone in the Fox Cities reads the same book and then joins a discussion, discusses it with friends, and maybe even meets the author--and we all grow closer. This year's Fox Cities Reads selection is Stella by Starlight by Sharon Draper.
The Fox Cities Reads booklet includes a book synopsis, information on author Sharon Draper, book discussion questions, a list of related books, and a list of other books by the author. Read it online or pick one up at the library.
Check out and read this award-winning book and then mark your calendar to attend a Fox Cities Reads community event.

Stella by Starlight describes the experience of Black Americans in 1930s North Carolina. What were the experiences of Blacks during the same era in Appleton? Join Chief Curator Nick Hoffman for a talk about the Ku Klux Klan in the Fox Cities, Black migrant workers, and conditions in this Sundown town, when Blacks were not allowed to be inside city limits after sundown.
