Called to order at 11:03am by Chairman Schwerbel
Committee members present: Golz and Schwerbel
Absent: Franzoi and Turner
Also present: Library Director Lenz and Business Manager Dreyer
Public Comment/Communication: None
Facility Planning Discussion
- Franzoi and Turner spoke with Margaret Sullivan of MSS, and she is willing to do whatever is needed.
- Schwerbel and Lenz talked with Greg Mickells, Director of the Madison Public Library, who will be working with JAL Architects for construction of their Imagination Center at Reindahl Park, essentially a library branch on the east side of Madison. Staff at that library conducted a survey and talked to community members at community events to find out what their needs were and how to make the community a better place to live. This planning process took 4 years.
- Schwerbel will talk to Dave Voss to see how he sees this project coming together.
- The committee discussed adding members to the committee.
The committee will meet on Wednesday, March 3, March 10 and March 17, at 11:00am to continue to move this process forward.
