Program part of the history series called The Fox Cities in the Vietnam War Era. Presented by UW-Oshkosh-Fox Cities Professor Steven Sheehan. The series will take us from the optimistic early years of the war, to the turbulent antiwar protest of the late 1960s, to the establishment of the local Hmong community in the 1980s, these years made an important and lasting impact on our community.

December 7- Protest in the Fox Cities: The War Moratorium of 1969. Fox Cities residents, including students and faculty at Lawrence University, participated in a series of nationwide organized antiwar protests in the fall of 1969.  This presentation explores the events and the impact of the antiwar movement in the Fox Cities in 1969.

About our presenter: Steven T. Sheehan is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh-Fox Cities.  He earned his Ph.D. in American History from Indiana University.
