Called to order at 1:01pm by Chair Golz
Present: Chair Golz, Englebert, and VanderHeyden
Absent: None
Also Present: Director Lenz and K. Dreyer (Administrative Assistant)
Public Comment/Communication:
John Jacobs said it was alright to provide him with a draft of the 2018 budget following this meeting.
Approval of Minutes
Motion made by Englebert, seconded by VanderHeyden to approve the Finance & Investments Committee meeting minutes from October 6, 2017. Motion carried unanimously.
2018 Library Budget Request
Director Lenz is estimating that we will have about $9,927 remaining from the 2017 operating budget and $9,782 remaining from the 2017 capital improvement budget. Motion made by VanderHeyden, seconded by Englebert that any unused funds from the 2017 operating and capital improvement budget be put towards the 27th pay period in 2020. Motion carried unanimously.
Lenz revised the 2018 budget to reflect the additional day into the wages for 2020. The 2018 health insurance is still being negotiated. Motion made by Englebert, seconded by Golz to add $20,000 into the 2018 budget for retirements. Motion carried unanimously.
Since we are overspent on the training line items and how tight our budget is, it was recommended that we not send Kirk Moore-Nokes to the YALSA Conference in Louisville, Kentucky this year.

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 2:14pm was made by Englebert and seconded by VanderHeyden. Motion carried unanimously.
