ELISHA D. SMITH PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
November 15, 2019
Called to order at 1:14pm by Chairman Schwerbel
Committee members present: Schwerbel and Golz
Committee members absent: Franzoi and Turner
Also present: Wes Reynolds, OPN Architects; Mayor Don Merkes; Library Director Lenz

None.
Discussion/Action Items
The purpose of today’s meeting is to meet with Wes Reynolds of OPN Architects, a firm that has recently worked on plans for several Wisconsin libraries, including the new Waunakee library.
Mayor Merkes joined the meeting at 1:30pm.
Schwerbel gave Reynolds a short tour of the library prior to the meeting. Reynolds delivered a presentation on projects OPN has done, including construction of a new Cedar Rapids public library and a smaller project for Eagle River.
Each architectural firm invited during the rest of this year will be asked to provide a cost to service proposal, cost estimates, references, and a scope of their services.
The committee would like to tour some of the firms’ completed projects.
The committee will next meet with Margaret Sullivan of Margaret Sullivan Design Studio at 9:00am on Monday, December 9, at the office of Franzoi and Franzoi, S.C., at 514 Racine St., Menasha.
Adjournment
Golz moved to adjourn, seconded by Schwerbel at 3:00pm. The motion was unanimously approved.
