Today we have local historian Tom Sutter, who has a display on the art wall this month, and is giving a presentation at the library Sunday, October 23, 2016 - 2:00pm. A reception will immediately follow the event in the Miron Fireside Room with local musician Jennifer Levenhagen. This presentation is part of a month-long celebration of the centennial of the National Park Service and the legacy of John Muir.
I hope this short conversation piques your interest in coming to see Tom’s presentation; and to also, check out his work on the art wall, pick up a John Muir book, and most of all get outside and enjoy Wisconsin this autumn!
In the podcast Tom talks about how he takes the old slide photograph and then reshoots the same location to compare how it has changed. Below is an example, but you really need to see it in-person—and there are many more!
