Join professor UW-O Fox Cities Professor Steven Sheehan as he leads our History Series -- Over Here: The World War II American Home Front. Our online history series that focuses on the American home front during World War II and examines how the war transformed American life.
Like millions of other Americans, young men and women left the Fox Cities for Europe and Asia to serve in the war. This presentation examines what happened to them as they returned from war and built new lives back “over here.”

About our presenter: Steven T. Sheehan is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh-Fox Cities. He earned his Ph.D. in American History from Indiana University. His current research focuses on speechwriting in FDR’s White House.
