The library is renovating! During construction, the Menasha Public Library has temporarily relocated to the Student Union at UWO Fox Cities: 1478 Midway Road, Menasha WI. Our last day at this location is Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Friday, November 22: Holds for Pickup at Menasha Suspended

  • Holds placed for pick up at Menasha will be suspended starting November 22 until we reopen at 440 First Street (you will keep your position on the list).
  • If you're placing a new hold and don't want to wait until February 2025, please change the pickup location to another Winnefox library.

Saturday, December 14: Library and Book Drop Closes at UWO Fox Cities

  • Materials due after December 14th will have their due dates extended through the duration of our closure.
  • We plan to reopen the library at 440 First Street in February 2025.

Updated Library Hours:

  • M-Th 8:30am-8pm
  • Fri 8:30am-6pm
  • Sat 9am-1pm
  • Sun CLOSED

We suggest using the front parking lot closest to Midway Road. You do not need a parking pass or permit. Use the entrance next to the Barlow Planetarium and follow our signs once inside to find the student union.

Temporary Location FAQs:

Did you bring the entire library collection?

We brought as much as we could fit into the Student Union space. It's not everything, but you can always place a hold on an item and it will be delievered to the library.

Can I checkout an item that says it's location is "Storage -- ask for help"?

Storage items are in storage at our library. They'll be back on the shelves when we return to our newly renovated library. If another library in the Winnefox system has the book available, you can place it on hold to be picked up at our temporary location.

When will the library reopen?

We are hoping to be back at our 440 First Street location at the beginning of 2025!

Can I use a computer, make a photocopy, or send a fax?

Yes! We have computers for public use as well as our photocopier and fax machine. Copies are $.10 for black and white and $.25 for color. Send a fax for $2 per fax, with any number of pages.

Do you have a bookdrop?

We have two book drops located inside UWO Fox Cities. The main book drop is at the Circulation Desk when you enter the Student Union. The second book drop is located just inside the Barlow Planetarium entrance at the UWO Fox Cities campus. The book drop is accessible anytime the campus is open, both during and outside of our library operating hours. You can drop any book or AV materials here. (We still ask that Library of Things items or Rokus/WiFi hotspots be returned to the library proper in the Student Union.)
